Her work in Behavioral Health sparked her interest in quality improvement and patient safety, which motivated her to become a patient safety committee representative and later a quality nurse leader. She learned a great deal about regulatory and accreditation requirements in these roles, and her interest in the field led her to become a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and a Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP).
